Tsum Tsum collecting

Disney Tsum Tsum Collection

I have put off buying any Tsum Tsums as I am the kind of person who goes from 0-100 in 5 seconds and knew that after I brought one my collection would grow quickly. For those who dont know what Tsum Tsums are i have taken a picture of the tag that comes on all your Tsum Tsums as they can explain it better than me. Me and the kids call Tsum Tsums disney hamsters as they have the cute squishy look like chubby little hamsters.

I am a true Disney addict and love everything from the films, the parks and all the toys and collectables. This post I will be constantly updating with Tsum Tsums as I buy them to show everyone my collection how it grows, I will date all updates as I go. I have a 4 year old little boy and a 1 year old little girl so as I buy them they have to be evenly sexed or world war 3 breaks out.

Disney Land Paris

Disney Land Paris

Yesterday I was involved in a Disney bloggers chat and it got me reminiscing about the times I have been. The first time I went was January 2007; it was freezing cold and it snowed, it was beyond magical seeing the castle in a snow flurry. I was 17 and found the whole experience emotional and magical; we went with school so I had the extra excitement of being away from home with my best friends at the time. Below is a picture of me with Lilo.

The second time I went was in March 2014 I was 24 and had my two year old little boy who was amazed that his favourite characters had come to life and where walking around with him. We had dinner at Mickey’s Café where the characters interact with you at the tables; this terrified him as he was in a high chair and they came behind him. The flower displays in spring are beautiful and bright and the colours seem to pop every where you go as well as the fun penguins.

The last time we went was October 2015 I was 25 and now was taking my almost 4 year old and a 9 month old. To see the wonder on your kids face as they see the castle, fireworks and characters is one of the things I will never forget. With Halloween I was slightly worried that it would be too much for the kids but it was a very Disney version with cute ghosts and pumpkins; seeing Minnie and Mickey in pumpkin form was great. My little boy loved meeting Buzz and Goofy but wasn’t brave enough to meet Skeleton Jack.
Below is some of our Halloween pictures.

I am hoping to go back at Christmas this year or early next year. Its been so fun looking back at my Disney experiences and I cant wait to take my babies back as they get older and understand more.

Bye for now

I love... cherry almond

I love… Cherry Almond Sparkle

Nourishing Body Butter
I am a huge fan on I love products especially the body butters they have coconut oil and Shea butter making them a luxurious and decadent body product that goes in quickly and leaves your skin feeling soft and hydrated. The cherry almond fragrance reminds me or cherry bake wells; I absolutely love this fragrance it reminds me of being a kid going to the bakery with my mum. If you do not like the fragrances by name do not use I love… products as they are very true to life, the body butter fragrance lasts for hours on my skin as a subtle base note under my perfumes. I have been known to use this as a hand cream in the winter months when my hands are really dehydrated.

Bath and Shower Crème
This is the first time I have ever used a shower gel/ bubble bath by I love… and I am a little bit disappointed, the fragrance matched the body butter perfectly filling my shower with the beautiful fragrance of cherry almond whilst lathering however the second the water hit my skin the fragrance was gone. I only have a shower so can’t testify for the bubble bath capabilities but I suppose as the water is sitting the fragrance would last longer. It does however create a great lather that feels nourishing whilst using and not stripping which is how my skin feels after some shower gels.

Overall I would purchase both products again, I highly recommend to all bake well tart fans.

Summer wedding

Summer wedding look

I recently attended my sister in laws wedding and thought I would share what made my look.

Skin Care

Firstly I have taken the last two weeks preparing my skin so that it was blemish free and looking perfect to create the best base possible. I have been using Elemis Pro Radiance Cream Cleanser every night to remove my make up and any other oils/ dirt on my skin. Twice a week I double cleanse; with this product which is simply cleansing once and using a muslin cloth and warm water removing all traces of the cleanser and then repeating.

Second step of best skin is Gatineau Radiance Enhancing Gommage, which is a gentile exfoliator (no bits) to remove dead skin cells and grime that builds up naturally on your skin. Between these two products my skin has been blemish free and silky smooth ready for my make up.

Make Up

I go straight to foundation as I have sensitive skin, too many product causes my eczema to flair up and by midday I would have red blotchy skin; not ideal for a wedding look. My foundation choice is Laura Geller Balance and Brighten; it is a baked mouse which goes on like a powder but sits like a liquid foundation. It is made up of several colours so never looks orange or blotchy and blends to my skin tone perfectly.

My eye pallete is a trio shadow from the Laura Geller Roman Holiday Set; it is made up of coffee and cream metallic colours. I use Baroque on my full lid and up underneath my eyebrow, I use Café on my outer moving lid making a subtle smoky eye and Roma I use on the crease line to create depth with the look.

My lashes are by Eylure, they are a slightly fuller lash that works for day and evening; making them perfect for an all day wedding and reception.

My Blush is again by Laura Geller; Mauve Mocha Latte. This colour I wear daily, it is the perfect mink brown that sits naturally with my skin tone.

My lip colour is Max Factor Sheer Balm Red Garnet; I love the balm texture of this product. It sits comfortably on your skin for hours creating a subtle colour that doesn’t need a lot of attention and re touching.

My finger nails and toe nails were painted in the same colour Ciate Mistress. To me this is the perfect red and looked great with my 1950s inspired swing dress.

I hope you like my look.

Sally Hansen Golden Rule 120

Sally Hansen – Golden Rule 120

I loved the look of this nail varnish the second I saw it on the shelf I knew I had to have it; as glitters go this one is very impressive.

The saturation of glitter is so strong it almost doesn’t need a base colour underneath it; however I used it over the ring finger with Cheeky Nail Paint – Candy Shop.

The brush is another chunky style which is not the best for me as I have less control however as applying as an almost top coat this was quick and easy and I love the overall effect and would most definitely buy this brand again with other colours and effects.

Laura Geller Roman Holiday Eye Pallete

Laura Geller – Roman Holiday eye pallete

I am a huge lover of Laura Geller and her wonderful products; I nearly always buy her sets as they can create a full look with no extra products. This eye pallete came with the Roman holiday set.

The packaging of this pallete reminds me of the 1950’s in a blush pink with bold black diamonds emblazed front, back and within. The inside has 3 bubbles of beauty in coffee colours shot through with a metallic undertone.

The colours are ‘Baroque’ a metallic peach/ cream that works easily on its own as a full lid colour or as a high light to the two darker colours.

‘Café’ a muted metallic brown; on the skin it looks like a vintage gold. On my skin this is too dark to wear as a solo colour.

‘Roma’ is a deep brown/ purple of all three colours this is the only one not to have a metallic base. I use this colour in the crease line to define the shape of my eyes and to create a soft liner look without a pencil.

(Top baroque, Middle cafe, Bottom to Roma)

I love all three colours being used together, it makes a cohesive look that gives the impression you have spent a lot of time choosing your individual eye-shadow colours. This look can easily be worn during the day with a subtle liner and as an evening look with a bold liner and false lashes.

For me the real difference between high end make up lines and high street is the saturation of the pigment; you get a fuller long lasting look with only a few sweeps of your brush rather than continuous application and additional layers.

I highly recommend all Laura Geller products especially this set of eye-shadows.

Bye for now.

Gatineau Radiance Gommage

Gatineau Radiance Enhancing Gommage

Now none of the words used in the product name actually tell you what the product is so let me explain; this is an exfoliator, but not like a normal gritty/ bitty exfoliator but a smooth pearlised gel.

I absolutely love this product, I generally can’t use exfoliator’s as I have very sensitive skin and the grainy versions you pick up on the high street just aggravate my skin and cause redness and severe dryness however this product feels like a spa treatment in a tube.

You simply rub the beautiful orange smelling gel on your skin until you feel the change of texture; it will go from a cool gel to a slightly warm liquid once at this stage I leave it on my skin for roughly 2-3 minutes at which point I use a muslin square and warm water to remove all traces from my skin all that’s left to do is pat dry your face this stops any dragging or pulling. I don’t cleanse after wards as i don’t like to over stimulate my skin but I do apply a moisturiser after to enhance the benefits to my skin.

I highly recommend this product even though it is at the higher price point the benefits definitely out weigh the price.

Until next time,

Nicola

Etre Belle Golden Skin Eye Roll

Etre Belle – Golden Skin Caviar Eye Roll On

I received this product in the December GlossyBox

Eye roll on moisturisers are great for me as I am so tired when I am doing my night time routine the speed in which you can apply it is great. This one is no different it goes on cooling and smoothly which is very therapeutic and soothing on my tired eyes. I have used this product for 14 days every night and I can’t see any difference in the skin around my eyes; they still have dark circles and the skin has the same texture and feels as it did before I began.

I did not receive a full size product and with a price point of £30.66 I will not be buying it as I have had no results with it. The feeling going on is great but not at that price point. Overall I was very disappointed by this product and would not be tempted to try again.

Bye for now
