Cheeky Chat Me Up Nail Paint – Candy Shop
I received this in my December glossybox.
As colours go this is not one I would personally choose;
I am not a bubblegum pink kind of girl
but that is one of the joys of glossybox you get to experiment. Unfortunately
this time round the experiment did not pay off.
I found the colour was very flat despite the metallic sheen
within the pot, it made my skin look a funny colour almost brining out a blue
hue that I didn’t know I had, as for formulation it left a streaky cheap look
on my nail. I applied 2 coats as I do with all nail varnish as I feel that is a
fair test; in my opinion you would probably need 3-4 coats to get an even
coverage.
The brush is short and dumpy which led to a lot of excess
around the edge of my nails and I had to spend more time cleaning my skin
around my nail than I did painting them. In its favour I got on better with
this brush than I did with the Ciate brush which is of a similar style.
Overall I did not like this product at all and wouldn’t be
bothered if I tried it again; I will probably give this to me 11 year old niece
who will appreciate the colour more and may find it easier using a chunkier
brush whilst learning to paint her own nails.
